Glorious Golden Grapes

Willa of Willabrand Australia is always looking for new ideas when it comes to creating delicious fruits into a gastronomic masterpiece.

New to Willa’s range of Glace fruits are these golden glace grapes, supplied still on the stem suitable for cheese plates as an alternative to dried muscatels.

The glace grapes can also be used in deserts and with icecream or as an ingredient in creating sauces with a difference for duck, poultry and white meats.

De Carolis is an artisan brand of pasta made in Puglia, Italy from the highest quality durum wheat using traditional techniques.

Trofie is a thin, twisted pasta.

Cheese of the Month – Bleu de Basque

Milk: Sheep

Region: France

This relatively new sheep’s milk cheese is produced not far from Roquefort in the mountainous Basque region bordering France and Spain.

Small pockets of the salty blue Roquefort moulds form in the cheese as it matures, developing a crumbly, nutty texture and creating a beautiful balance between the saltiness of the moulds and the sweet, floral flavours of the ewe’s milk.

Available in cut pieces according to your weight preference.

Grape Variety: Vermentino and Trebbiano

Region: Toscana

Tasting Notes: A sweet dessert wine made from Botrytis affected grapes. The nose is an explosion of flowers, honey and nectarine. The palate is full and Alsatian in style, intense and lingering.
